It was a Bollywood Movie Premiere!

I was at a wedding reception this past weekend where I was proud to have been able to help design a few items for the couple. The theme was a Bollywood Movie Premiere and my sister-in-law was the genius behind the theme and the decor which, by the way, was absolutely gorgeous in purple and black.

“Rab ne bana di Jodi” is the name of the movie which roughly translated means “a match made in heaven” or “God has made this match”. I was able to recreate the logo with a little tweak and photos were taken of the couple and sent to me. I roughly put the layout together as a 5×7 and with my SIL we were able to finalize an invitation (front poster and back details) that was printed on thick card stock and given a heavy gloss finish. The end result was perfect.

When you entered there was this gorgeous wish tree, where you could write a wish/tip/advice for the lovely couple on a ribboned tag and hand it up on the tree. An awesome alternative to the traditional guestbook.

On the right was a photo booth set up by a local company. They did a great job with printing up the envisioned backdrop. The couple was able to take a picture upon their arrival before entering the hall for the rest of the evening’s program.

I also created a large 20×30 movie poster that was printed, mounted and put on display before entering the hall. Matching programs were also designed which were placed on the tables for every seat along with a cake pop which was delicious!

I wish I had taken more pictures of the decor because it was gorgeous! It was definitely a lovely time and the food was REALLY good. Congratulations to the couple!
